Speers Point Amateur Sailing Club self-help
SPASC is a non-profit incorporated association run by its members for its members. We all take part in Club operations to keep events running smoothly and safely. We have a roster of senior Club members to operate the support boat for Saturday afternoon races (with average points available for skippers), and for running the Club canteen (sailing is possible after lunch). And we enjoy each other’s company at Club events throughout the season
We host regattas and events for Class associations, where members volunteer to help run races and the canteen. Hosting such events raises revenue for the Club and allows us to keep membership fees low.
Working bees are held through the year to keep the Club in good order and save on repair costs – members are encouraged to help.
Monthly management meetings are held, usually on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30 pm – all members are welcome to attend and participate.
