Another great day had by most, check out the photos in our photos page

Pulbar Marathon Feb 2008

Although the wind was very ordinary, a good day was still had by most. Here are some of the highlights of this famous annual sailing event. Below is the "off the beach" start for the Tasars and the small catamarans. In attendance were 9 Tasars, 7 small catamarans, and a spectacular turnout of 12 large catamarans. The large catamaran fleet consisted of 7 Nacra 5.8's, 2 Tornados, 1 hobie Tiger, 1 Nacra Infusion and a Taipan super sloop. So if you want to join us for this race next year keep an eye on our race program. Check out the photos taken on the day on our photos web page . Speers Point Amateur Sailing Club now holds the record as having the largest number of Nacra 5.8's in NSW.

AUSTRALIA DAY 2008

Due to the very successful Nacra Nationals recently held at Port Stephens , the Speers Point Sailing Club has been inundated with Nacras. We now have a total of 7 Nacra 5.8's and this along with 3 Tornados and 1 Hobie Tiger makes for very exciting racing. On Australia day we had a good turn out of 6 Nacras, 2 Tornados, 1 x Hobie Tiger , 9 Tasars and 1 Windrush. All this on a normal race day( not a regatta)

5th January 2007

Cobra/Stingray Nationals  held at our club

Congratulations to our  StingRay catamaran sailors that participated in our successful sailing regatta. Also many many thanks to particularly Jane & Geoff Klein, Alan & Marilyn Sutton and Alan Hughes for giving up their entire Christmas break while running and organising a successful Regata.

22nd December 2007

An interesting day was had by the large cat sailors. The forecast of gale force winds combined with rain and a number of skippers wanting to keep their boat intact for the upcoming nationals made these boys do strange things.  They all took up the serious challenge of sailing the club's sabot, frisco etc fleet . Normally the sailors of these fine vessels are up to the age of 14. check out the photos in the photo gallery
